Definitely not in a hurry to sell this one. Always open to trades.
Brazilian Rosewood top & fretboard & headstock overlay. The top is glossy, with 20+ coats of nitro and difficult to photograph w/out reflections. This guitar doesn't indicate player wear and is essentially in unplayed like-new condition. Top is stunning. Has the 1950's style Stiletto headstock which is perhaps one of the greatest looking of all time. Hardcore Echopark long tenon neck through design and construction.
This guitar tonally is in a league of it's own. There is a big difference between a maple top guitar and this Brazilian guitar, and the difference is very satisfying. There's more bite, attack, punch, and at the same time more richness. Brazilian is just a sensational tonewood and here you have an overdose of Brazilian. It just sounds a little better than everything else. This guitar is one of the best sounding and playing Echoparks you'll ever come across and the original price was $9000, but it plays and sounds like a guitar much more expensive. When you play the guitar you will instantly understand, it reveals itself quickly. It's the Brazilian top. What it does is extraordinary to say the least. One of the most highly refined Echoparks. The Brazilian is magical. This guitar plays so well it redefines what you thought was possible. Extreme level of playability. The bridge in precisely the correct location, the nut perfection, the frets perfection.
Guitar has an EQ that is singular, and in a good way. A little squawkier, snappier, thicker, overall richer sounding. Has killer musical top end. Has bark, bite, snap. All while delivering a truly full rich, complex full bodied experience that puts most guitars to shame. It's the aged Cohiba Siglo VI. I just love that it doesn't sound like anything else, I love where it sits in a mix. It's stunning. When I have people over and need to demo my system, this is the guitar I reach for, without fail. Undeniable tone and sonics. It's a rock n' roll machine with all the sonic complexity and richness you would expect. But it just plays so damn well it hurts. My personal favorite guitars are all wrap around tailpiece guitars with 2 knobs. The wraparound gives you that millisecond faster response, more of a direct, in your face connection. It feels so good, especially when you have such resonant wood. I wouldn't want it any other way. This guitar strummed acoustically sounds ridiculously good. Again, it can't be overstated.
This La Carne started life with a Pigtail wraparound intonatable bridge, which I despise massively, have hated intontable ugly wraparounds since I was a kid. I always convert to the Mojoaxe. The guitar with a proper wraparound is far superior to a Pigtail, in every way. Such a better feel and sound. All my work always done by a highly trained, schooled high end luthier. Incredible attention to detail. Bridge of choice is the Mojoaxe compensated. If it's good enough for Keith Richards, it's good enough for you. It's amazing how good the Mojoaxe really works. Time and time again, it changes the whole animal. No intonation issues. While in the shop, the guitar was fully serviced and inspected, and needs nothing. I always use these Mojoaxe bridges because of what it does to the overall feel and playability. Changes the guitar completely. With the studs located in the correct location, as they are, there are many options for other bridges. Echopark also makes their own version of this style wraparound bridge.
You can tell a lot about a guitar by the way it tunes, and of course how it holds tune. The first clue that this guitar is a cut above will occur the first time you tune it. Super silky smooth Butterbean tuners. The tuning just falls right in place, effortlessly and not jittery. It's astonishing, and as with most of these unbelievable Echoparks, it's the wood. The guitar knows where it needs to be. A bad guitar will jump all over the place, jittering while you're tuning and won't hold well. A good guitar will be a pleasure to tune up, as the tuning dial hardly jumps at all, everything's so stable. Thank the Brazilian.
This is one of the those masterpiece case studies and the frets and attention to detail is all next level. 9055/6105 frets. This is one of those long & detailed fret jobs. This certainly reminds me of those Hollywood $1100 fret jobs that take all day long. Aside from the bridge switch, this guitar was perfect and is perfect.
The Arcane bridge pickup is a late 50's PAF style. The super rare Echopark prototype small neck firebird pickup is nothing short of tremendous, not available anywhere else. Only a few of these pickups have ever been made, and that’s that. It's just such a perfect balance. Another great characteristic of this guitar is going to be the squawky out of phase middle position. He opted for reverse phase. Easy to switch back wiring if you wish, but it's damn cool. Throw on the fuzz, or turn the tone all the way down, in that middle position and it's completely new territory.
Overall, this is a very high fidelity guitar, which offers tremendous sonic detail, which mimics nothing else. Stands firm on it's own ground.
How could we not talk about the neck. The neck profile is a medium size late 50's Gibson style neck, hand carved. It's a tapered neck that goes from .88 - 1.04". Still beefy and meaty, but not full size up top. Feels identical to the 58 Junior I sold recently. Extremely comfortable and playable. The Brazilian fretboard doesn't hurt. What a huge difference that makes. Extreme comfort. Slightly more rounded, slightly smaller than the full boar 1959 D Les Paul. So this neck is hand carved to fit the crook of your hand, and it's slightly smaller than the max-size 59LP neck. More middle of the road, at least on the lower register. The neck on this guitar is astonishing, the feel, superb wood selection. Thankfully no neck binding, which only makes the neck feel even nicer.
This guitar has my all time favorite configuration - no neck binding, 2 knobs, 2 pickups. It sounds better than any vintage Les Paul Jr out there, and destroys in the area of playability. And above all, not another one like it.

This guitar was built with air-dried, very old wood, and you feel it in your hands. Has the long neck tenon that Echopark is known for, and you feel that as well. No kilns or machines were used in the production of this guitar. The magic of Echopark is the insane wood supply, which continues to grow and grow, and is quite frankly astonishing. I have worked with luthiers across the country for 27 years now, and never seen anything like the Echopark wood supply. Gabe's artistry and mastery occurs at the wood level first and foremost. There are very many decisions to be made when connecting these pieces of old, old air dried wood. The result here is immensely satisfying. It would be impossible to overhype this guitar. It's a guitar I would categorize as ridiculous.
This La Carne has produced the single best sounding recordings I've done in 2021. It's a highly refined thing going on here. This guitar is one of those that I find unable to put down, regardless of my intention. It's just too good.
This guitar demands to be played, this is not a showpiece.
This guitar achieves what I call "undeniable" status.
World class.
Includes mint case and COA.
