1978 Yamaha SG-2000
100% original including case, no player wear, guitar is in very fine shape.
The stand-out property of these guitars is the feeling of connectedness between the neck & body, which makes them exceptional for solos and lead playing.
1976-1978 were the best years for these guitars. These guitars were the most expensive solid body rock 'n roll production guitar for sale at the time, about $1500, which is $10,000 today.
Includes original case. Guitars from these years are becoming increasingly rare due to smart collectors. It is impossible to find the SG2000's predecessor for sale, the SG-175. I was always a fan of the less expensive 1980's versions of the Yamaha SG, but someone then turned me on to these early ones, and I became obsessed with them. Truly fine hand crafted instruments.
No buckle rash, no player wear, only a few minor surface level nicks, no heavy dings. Only some light scratches on the back on the guitar, no heavy scratches.
