built in factory passive rotary fuzz/db boost, controlled by middle knob solely, no annoying push pull. purely unique in many ways. the built in passive boost puts it over the top. for me a dream strat. extra special amongst other special guitars. stainless steel frets worth about $800. base price retail is $6211+

pretty certain novo copied trussart with the sandblasted pine thing. i know everyone copied trussart with the arcane thing. nothing compares. will smoke a $10K fender custom shop in looks and sound. the passive rotary boost put its over the top. just insane. includes original G&G gator case. extremely good guitar, and set up perfectly.

very few dragon strats out there, by far my favorite model of his. this guitar will always look amazing. will never show wear. will outlive us all. the steel dragon is simply amazing. fit & finish that embarrasses the competition. as with all trussarts, the most perfect 60's C shape. super solid vibrato, stays in tune for days.
TOP NOTCH. the rotary passive boost is one of the greatest secret weapons you'll ever encounter. the guy who makes them passed away. similar to what joe perry uses, but passive meaning no battery. it's amazing. like a subtle fuzzy db boost. the versatility of this guitar is miles away from a fender. every position, every toneknob variation, it all suddenly becomes totally usable.

Description

The Steel-O-Matic has the look and feel of a vintage instrument while also featuring another James Trussart original invention: the recessed steel top plate. The metal plate sits in a recessed area on the face of the instrument, which keeps the edge of the metal plate covered, adding comfort as well as styling.

In addition to the recessed steel top plate, our contoured wood body and custom metal appointments are beautiful to look at as well as being functional. For instance, the Trademarked recessed steel head cap adds mass to the headstock and increases sustain. The steel, while also being the perfect medium to display the beautiful Trussart custom finishes and engraving, also has tonal advantages. The Steel-O-Matic tone is a uniquely classic sound that, combined with the resonant qualities of the body and steel top, can range from sweet thick classic tones to the heaviest lead tones.
