1971 Fender Bassman
This product is currently sold out.
internal date stamp is JUL 15 1971.
transformer dates to 1968.
such a great amp.
a favorite of steve albini's i believe.
i've had a few of these over the years and probably will again.
most underrated amp ever (along with it's familia of cohorts).
modified 1971 silverface Fender Bassman.
amp sounds pretty incredible, can go from crystal clear
to over-the-top gain.
i received this amp in a trade in costa mesa, ca,
where people build phenomenal amplifiers, where
many great musicians live and work, tone-hounds.
audio/video link of stock normal channel in photos.
master volume allows for high tube saturation
at low and manageable volumes, ala Social Distortion
not to mention many other punk bands who used the Bassman.
has master volume, and resonance switch, and
normal channel modded for high gain, with gain knob.
everything works as it should. has upgraded 3 prong cord.
bass channel left original and sounds superb.
one of the most recorded amps of all time.
go from Fender clean to blazing distortion and anywhere in between.
SOVTEK power tubes. assorted preamp tubes, one tung sol.
i would assume tubes are not matched and biased, as i can't say when
mods or last service was done, but power tubes may be matched and biased.
to my knowledge amp is not in need of servicing.
