hello,

for sale echpark '58 V 1 of 10

i simply have too many korina guitars, this one is mint and is redundant. too nice for me.

there were a few natural V's made, maybe about 7 that we've seen. most are in the hands of the echopark friends, not many made available. these were never put for sale publically nor in stores. so only a couple made it into the wild. there were also 3 painted ones as far as i know. a sparkle green one i had, a black and a white. they are now "discontinued forever".

you'll find the performance of this guitar exceeds your expectations, these V's exceed everyone's expectations - because they are the best alternative there is, they have the feel of the originals. the gibsons do not, the bankers do not. unequivocally. this is why joe pawnamassa went to gabe in the first place after he got that V. he could've gone to any guitar builder in the world, but he went to the guy with the wood.

this is gabe's #1 flying V, the top G, it went to the (former) #1 echopark collector and all around super nice guy. this here is the one he brought to gibson as you can see in my photos, to get the licensing deal. every natural V he made is different. different appointments. some no brazilian. some black guard. some smaller necks. no guitar is repeated.

that means this is the only one with this 100% authentic look that has the correct '58 neck profile, the holy grail neck profile. it has a slight V, lord have mercy, the way it should be. it's exactly the same as the real 1958 V it was based on. gabe is the best neck shaper around. you'll notice this guitar is not only better looking than joe pawnamassa's guitar, but everyone on the inside has agreed it's just a better guitar. this guitar. certainly better looking. if you haven't already seen the emails floating around from joe to gabe, he said about his V that he was "floored" and "the guitar is insanely good". sure, joe sold his guitar out of spite over an unrelated issue, but make no mistake, he loved the guitar and used it at royal albert hall. joe put a gibson logo on his echopark V and you can see it and hear it on stage via youtube. that's what started this korina thing for echopark. this guitar is a copy of the arthur's music '58 V. only a few were made. the sound of these guitars is unmistakable.

no BS, no dealer overhead, no commissions, no insurance. it is a guitar that should be twice the price. makes the competition feel like a toy. sorry but it's true.

the pickups are the amos arcane '58 PAF's, a direct copy of the real ones. i prefer real PAF's, i prefer the Brandonwounds in my Echopark Explorer, but these are the real deal, the only actual copy of Joe's 58 flying V pickups.

fretboard is a superba piece'a brazilian, the real deal.

this is the only place you can get a real deal korina V, the others do not measure up. i've played them. it's also why i have zero interest in "the others". they don't hold a candle. one does not need to plug the guitar in to make this determination.

plays and sounds better than the originals, which are now about $400,000. this is a brand new guitar, with superior frets to the originals.

this guitar has no play wear, no play time. this was purchased by a collector and i haven't touched it since i got it. i rarely buy things to sell, but i bought this one to as part of a bigger deal.

includes a real flying V case, purchased by the original owner. far superior to the G&G cases which are flawed.

there is perhaps no single korina V more authentic, better looking V made since 1959. just look at it! it's all about the neck. you will not find this neck on any gibson guitar made after 1959.

old growth, lightweight vintage air dried african white limba, very very old tree. top of the heap. not to be confused with gibson's cheap modern kiln dried wood. good valuable wood is not put in kilns. it takes decades to air dry. do not compare this to the murphy $20,000 flying V. there is no comparison. this guitar is leagues above any murphy lab guitar. not a fair comparison. a friend of mine in OC just sold two of those explorers, i got to play one. felt like a decent $3000 guitar. not in the league of this hand made vintage wood guitar. gibson also uses plastisizers in their finishes! this is a better guitar on every level, and the best nitro in the business. i've never found anyone that has lacquer this legit.

i've since found other guitars to play.

as always shipping includes insurance. korina is very fragile and we know how to pack it the right way to avoid breaking. international shipping is DHL express insured only to $2500. all int'l buyers accept all responsibility. reverb does not offer insurance or shipping labels over $10K. domestic shipping & insurance is around $500 and included in the price. you're welcome to check out, demo, pick up, or suggest hand delivery. we hand deliver many items nationwide.

please email or call with any questions. i've owned 7 of the echopark korina guitars. 5 of them Explorers and V's. i'd say they're all equally mind blowing, but they are indeed different. the explorer that just sold for $13K was the brother/sister of this guitar. as someone who's been playing and recording with hand made guitars for 25 years i would call this the #1 echopark flying V without any hesitation. this is the most authentic copy of a real one. totally authentic '58 with the exception of the better longer neck tenon. build quality on the guitar is as good as it gets. i'd have to say this is quite literally the only echopark i've ever owned which i haven't touched, not a single thing has been done to this guitar, no service. it's like new and to my knowledge doesn't need anything. impossible to be disappointed with this guitar, highly undervalued.
