This guitar sounds like nothing else that I'm aware of. "It sounds like a strat, tele, les paul, etc" is not an expression you will be using to describe this old slab. It's one of a kind, It sounds like The Ramones. It does this bouncy thing that I've never felt in any guitar. It does this punk style of guitar incredibly well, as if that was the original intention. It has the very small-width beefy neck, the small frets. The pickups sound phenomenal. It creates the best punk rock recorded guitar tone I've ever heard. It sounds so good. It sounds better than any other vintage guitars here in the context of that style. This guitar would make a tremendously great addition to any studio doing recording of distorted, grungy or fuzzed guitars. Had I a studio, this guitar would not be for sale, it would be too needed. If you flip to the higher output neck pickup you have true vintage holiness. This guitar is the ultimate punkrock or garagerock guitar, it genuinely thrives in those areas. I can imagine the reasons for the massive amount of replicas of this guitar. However when you hold the real thing in your hands, it's a special rarified feeling that you will never take for granted, like say you might with an old Les Paul or Strat, which are plentiful.
Everything is 100% functional as it should with no repairs, modifications. This is a true gem which shows no player wear and has the unbelievable history of sitting in it's case under a bed for over half a century. I can't get over how good these pickups sound.
